Double Hook Bottom Float Rigs
This rig has proven very effective in the surf, drift or slow troll. On the front page you will
see a 3.5 pound flounder caught on a
Flo Chartreuse using a fat bull minnow on the
drift. The rig has a float attached to give the bait a little buoyancy keeping it out of the
sand and muck.
This rig is all I use when surf fishing. I have caught a 4' Brown Shark (Lucky!) to a 4" pin
fish with these rigs. However, primarily it is used to catch Flounder, Croaker, Pompano,
Whiting, Blues, and Spot.
How to fish the Bottom Float Rig is to attach it directly to your line with a snap swivel
greater than 60# rating.  Depending on current strength and conditions, you attach a
2-10 ounce weight to the Coast Lock Snap Swivel already attached to the Bottom Float
Rig. The bare blood red circle hooks can be dressed with any bait you typically use. I
will use a 4-6 inch squid strip, cut bait or minnows for flounder and blues (blues nail it
on the drop). Longer strips of bait seems better, it allows it to flutter in the current more.
I also use Blood Worms, newly made Fish-Bites, and Gulp 4" Porgys are the new trick
as well. Rigs work excellent for the Croaker and smaller size fish as well. If you have
any questions or concerns on how to use this rig, please email me by the link on the left.

If you are targeting pompano, spot, or other smaller fish let me know!!! Call me or send
me an email. I can accommodate rigs with smaller hooks. We may have to go to a

hook in the #1 and #2 size avoiding the #/0 rated hooks.

Kahle Hook Bucktail Float Rigs
These rigs have proven to be very effective on the drift, or working a slow troll. The rigs
have an overall length of approximately 36 inches with a
bead/float/bucktail
arrangement. The float gives the bait a little buoyancy keeping it out of the sand and
muck as it trails your weighted sinker. It gives the appearance of  prey feeding or
scurrying on the ocean/bay floor. The various flash and colors provided by the
Float/Bead/Bucktail combo heightens the predators awareness.

How to fish the Rig is to tie it directly to a 3 way swivel or other in-line weighted swivel.
Dress the 5/0 Kahle hook with 3-6 inch squid strip, cut bait ,or live minnow.  I fish this rig
in a .5-2 mph drift or troll. The rigs are primarily  used to catch Flounder, Croaker,
Blues, and Sharks.

Kahle Hook Dakota Blade Float Rigs
These rigs have proven to be very effective on the drift, or working a slow troll. The rigs
have an overall length of approximately 36 inches with a
bead/float/bucktail
arrangement. The rigs are also dressed with a newly developed Dakota Blade that
sways and rotates on the slow drift or troll due to its unique design. The float gives the
bait a little buoyancy to bounce keeping it out of the sand and muck as it trails your
weighted sinker. It gives the appearance of  prey feeding or scurrying on the ocean/bay
floor. The various flash and colors provided by the Blade and components heightens
the predators awareness inviting it to take a look.

How to fish the Rig is to tie it directly to a 3 way swivel or other inline weighted swivel.
Dress the 3/0 Kahle hook with 3-6 inch squid strip, cut bait ,or live minnow.  I fish this rig
in a .5-2.5 mph drift or troll. The rigs are primarily  used to catch Flounder, Croaker,
Blues, and Sharks.
